It is the practice of smoking tobacco and inhaling tobacco smoke into the mouth and releasing it. This is done by some tobacco pipes, cigars, etc. So try to quit smoking early not for you but for the sake of your family and health.

The alveoli, which are tiny sacs present inside the lungs where the exchange of gases occurs. Cigarette smoking can cause various respiratory diseases, including COPD (chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), which includes Emphysema and chronic Bronchitis.

Smoking affects not only the respiratory system but involves the circulatory system, skin, eyes, and it also increases the risk for many types of cancers like oral cancers and lung cancers.

Effects of cigarette smoking on the circulatory system:-

Smoking can damage the heart, blood vessels. The chemicals and tar in cigarettes increase a person’s risk of developing atherosclerosis, which is the hardening of blood vessels by an accumulation of plaque in blood vessels. Smoking enhance the risk of peripheral artery disease; this occurs when the arteries to the arm and legs start to narrow, which ultimately leads to restriction in blood flow.

Effects of smoking on the Reproductive system:-

Smoking cigarettes damages the female reproductive system making it difficult to get pregnant. Whereas in males more cigarette, you smoke for a longer time higher will be the risk of erectile dysfunction and also affects the quality and quantity of sperms.

If a pregnant woman smokes, it can directly affect the developing fetus in many ways. In pregnancy, smoking increases the risk of ectopic pregnancy, low birth weight babies, preterm babies, damaging the fetal lungs, brain, and central nervous system . Smoking during pregnancy increases the risk for sudden infant death syndrome.

Smoking and Diabetics: –

According to various studies, it has been concluded that people with type 2 diabetes if smokes have poor diabetic management.

Smoking cigarette weaken a person’s immune system and making them more susceptible to infections.

On Eyes: –

Smoking increases the risk for cataract and eye-related macular degeneration and can also cause dry eyes, glaucoma, and diabetic retinopathy.

Effect of smoking on the Digestive system:-

People who smoke have a greater risk of gum disease. This risk increases with the number of cigarettes you smoke. Smoking tobacco or cigarette can limit a person’s ability to taste and smell. By Smoking cigarettes stain your teeth yellow or brown. Smoking will also help in reduces digestion power.

Risk for other cancer:-

 According to the American Cancer Society, cigarette smoking causes 20-30percent of pancreatic cancers. People who smoke can also develop bladder cancer, stomach cancer that occurs near the esophagus. Smoking can increase the risk of oral cancer, cervical cancer, liver cancer, and colon cancer.

Second-Hand Smokers: –

Individual who inhale smoke indirectly that has been released by a smoker is second-hand smokers

Quitting smoking is not easy and can be challenging, but it can be done with strong determination and will. Quit smoking and live a healthy life. Within one month of quitting, the many nicotine receptors in your brain will return to normal. That helps in breaking the cycle of addiction in you.

Quitting smoking improves circulation and boosts immune functions also lowers your risk of diabetes. Life expectancy for smokers is at least 10yrs shorter than that of non-smokers. Quitting smoking before the age of 40years reduces the risk of dying.

Smoking is not good for mental health. If you quit smoking early, then it is good for your body and for your better relationship in future. Try to eat healthy food and make your body into physical stress. Do exercise that helps in taking better sleep in night and also get rid from smoking addiction.

In begining of quitting smoking your body face different changes. Its depend on you how you manage those changes and fight back in quitting smoking. But remember quit smoking in days for example reducing the smoking habits to one a per day. This will help in quitting smoking in your life.
